Praia do Macapá
Wind, tide and a shallow lagoon
The Macapá spot is known for flat water at low tide and a steady side-shore wind. The walk from the guesthouse to the sand is short, and we carry the gear.
Wind season
Estimated monthly averages for the Luís Correia coast. Reference values, to be confirmed with local measurements.
Forecast for the next days
Wind at 10 m, source Open-Meteo, updated hourly.
How the tide changes the spot
Low tide
The lagoon is shallow and glassy: the best time to learn, train tricks and foil.
Rising tide
The sea comes in and the spot gains channels and small waves. Good once you are comfortable.
High tide
More water and more wave on the outside. The lagoon stays rideable in strong wind.
